In 2002, in a small pasta restaurant in Bologna, negotiations took place between Inver Vernici and the Powder Station. The former had the technology and facilities to manufacture a wide range of powder coatings: the latter had the knowledge and contacts to set up a distribution company in the UK. This partnership proved to be perfect synergy and the two partners made the decision to market the Inverpul range of powder coatings in Great Britain.
